Bazo Grey is an American psychedelic rock outfit from Atlanta, GA, fronted by lead guitarist and vocalist Michael Forde along with bassist and long-time friend Anthony Martinelli and powerhouse drummer Nathaniel Lewin. The band, whose advent was mid-2016, followed the split of Forde and Martinelli’s previous project Ashuraa Nova, where both decided to pursue solo music projects in the wake of their ever-expanding desires to explore the broad spectrum of sounds available to them. Following the release of Forde’s 2016 debut album and Martinelli’s subsequent 2017 album, they decided to continue once again under the pseudonym Bazo Grey. After a lengthy expedition for a drummer, Forde and Martinelli finally joined up with Lewin to complete the trio that is now Bazo Grey. Ebbing from heavy sonic experimentation and flowing into intricate, extended compositions, Bazo Grey aims to open its audience’s creative mind through lush lyricism and cosmic flowing grooves. Deeply introspective, their music is hard-hitting, yet delicate to the ear, leaving their audience captivated and excited for what notes come next.
